THE LAND OF SORIA MORIA, OR THE SEARCH FOR THE CASTLE OF HAPPINESS An interactive exhibition – a story based on the Finnish education system, drawing on Scandinavian fairy-tale traditions, blending the world of myths, legends, and stories from Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, possibly Estonia) with the latest exhibition technologies. Visitors to “Soria Moria” are invited to participate in a multi-station game – a story with a dramatic narrative (setup, action, resolution). The goal is to present basic elements of Nordic culture and arouse interest in this civilization circle.
Fairy Tale World Exhibition “Fairy Tale World” is a unique exhibition that combines the latest multimedia technology with traditional museum exhibits. It’s a journey through fairy-tale lands created specifically for children, filled with images, sounds, colors, and surprises. In this adventure, guides such as Tinker Bell, Little Red Riding Hood, or Snow White act as intermediaries between the fairy tale world and reality. It all begins in the Fairy Tale Hallway, and then the events gain momentum, especially in the enchanted train that carries passengers into the world of imagination. Our journey unfolds on many levels of interactivity and also takes us through the geographical lands of Europe, encountering the creatures that inhabit them. This helps children notice similarities and differences between the fairy tale worlds of different nations.
The exhibition teaches through fun and exploring fairy tale plots. It strengthens a child’s belief in the victory of good over evil and the inevitable punishment of what is vile and deceitful.
Small Theater The Small Theater is an intimate puppet stage presenting well-known and beloved fairy tales in beautiful arrangements. Its advantage is the close contact between the audience and the puppets and animators. The audience, gathered in a small, cozy room without rigid rows of chairs, immerses itself in the story and experiences it along with the characters. After the performance, the audience participates in a brief lecture on puppet theater. They see the puppets, learn how they work, and discover the names of different techniques for operating them. After such a session, even accompanying parents and guardians stop confusing hand puppets with marionettes or shadow puppets.
The Secret of the Little Spoonful of Honey In this workshop, participants can learn about the life of a bee family, the structure of a beehive, try on a beekeeper’s costume, and acquire interesting facts about the extraordinary life of these insects.
